Over the past few years, you’ve asked us to make some changes to Windows. We listened closely. Now it’s time to share an early look at how we’ve used your feedback. Windows 7 is faster, more reliable, and makes it easier to do what you want. Both the everyday things and the killer “is that really possible?” things.

Windows 7 was built around your feedback, so you’ll see a lot of things you’ve asked for. You asked us to make everyday tasks faster and easier, make your PC work the way you want it to, and make new things possible. And that’s exactly what we’re doing. See how it’s coming to life.
Hardware requirements
Microsoft has published their recommended specifications for a system running Windows 7 beta. Since Windows 7 is similar to Windows Vista, the recommended specifications are much the same as for premium editions of Vista; however, Windows 7 uses less hard disk space.

- It has a lower resource consumption than the full version, using just over 300Mb main memory when idle* – less than Windows XP SP3!
- This solution is ideal for installation on Netbooks, such as the EeePC or MSi Wind. Total install size is just under 5Gbs, making it much more feasible than Vista.
- The following has been deemed unnecessary and stripped out:
* Speech & Native Language Support.
* All additional languages.
* Inbox & Premium Inbox games.
* Windows Media Centre.
* Music & Video samples.
* Windows Search.
* Tablet PC features.
- Please note that this is 32-bit English ONLY version. Not recommended as a working OS, as it is still beta version, but it is still much more stable than prior builds (e.g. 6801).
- PlusPatch by Orbit30 is included in the .ISO file under the /crack folder – run this with Administrative privileges post installation.
using a SLOW burn speed, ie 1x or 2x. If you are using a previous Windows 7 Build, I would NOT recommend performing an Upgrade – use Clean Installation!
- Installation was tested in a virtualised environment under VMware Workstation – installation was under 30 minutes and no problems were encountered.
